Premium Quality with Sensible Pricing
At Noor Jouels, we value providing the best quality with a sensible pricing. Our High Collection jewelleries offer 18k white gold vermeil as our metal.
Vermeil is a very specific type of premium gold finish. Vermeil is a superior kind of gold plating. The process of creating a vermeil piece of jewelry involves coating sterling silver with a thick layer of gold that is at least 18 karats and 2.5 microns thick.
Gold Vermeil jewelry items are stronger than solid gold items and will last longer. Gold is a very soft and malleable metal; the higher the karat, the softer and more malleable the item is. Thus, 24K is too soft and it is impossible to make a jewelry item entirely of 24K. Gold has to either be alloyed with other metals or plated over other base metals for the item to be strong enough to form and shape into jewelry. Thus, a gold plated item, with a thick coating of gold on the outside, is a great way to have the appearance of gold, while having a strong and durable item of jewelry. Gold plated jewelry can handle the abuse of everyday wear more so than solid gold.
Other Precious Metal Selections
Sterling Silver
925 Sterling Silver is an alloy made of 92.5% pure Silver and 7.5% Copper. We plate our Silver jewelry in rhodium, which gives it extra shine and durability. Rhodium is one of the costliest precious metals due to its rarity.
18K White Gold
The gold content of 18k white gold is 75% which is why it costs more than 14k white gold, the lower percentage of other metals makes 18k white gold jewelry less prone to oxidization, which means that 18k white gold rings tend to look whiter and brighter than 14k white gold rings.
18K Yellow Gold
18k yellow gold boasts the rich hue for which gold is famous, and its luster is beautiful. 18k yellow gold is 75% fine gold and 25% alloys added to strengthen the metal, making it suitably durable for everyday wear.
14k Rose Gold
Rose gold is a lovely alloy of gold and copper, with a lustrous blush-pink tone. Rose gold is more affordable than platinum, and has approximately the same price point as white gold and yellow gold. The copper in the alloy lends strength to 14K rose gold, so it is a durable choice which does not require extra maintenance.
